What is GAMS?
The General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) is a high-level modeling
system for mathematical programming problems. It consists of a
language compiler and a stable of integrated high-performance
solvers. GAMS is tailored for complex, large scale modeling applications,
and allows you to build large maintainable models that can be
adapted quickly to new situations.

GAMS-Tk
GAMS-Tk is the local GAMS-X modelling environment which enables modellers to:
- Visually generate model scenarios and sets of scenarios using existing
GAMS models
- Create customized graphs across scenarios and plot series defined
in a GAMS model
- Easily transfer GAMS models between GAMS-X (and hence GAMS-CGI) sites
anywhere in the world
- Easily generate HTML and LaTeX model output With GAMS-Tk -
no more searching through reams of listing files for outputs.
GAMS-Tk
is seamlessly and transparently integrated with GAMS-CGI and the GAMS-X
scripting environment. Thus, models installed and scenarios generated
in GAMS-Tk are instantly viewable to anyone in the world who is connected
to the web in a password-protected online environment.
